My Mate Kate “Video Shoot” !

Author: The Band, August 5, 2009

Hi everyone, Jacko Here! Hope you’re all well.
We’ve recently been ‘shooting’ music videos for two of our tracks (Love Rat and Take My Hand). We have it filmed them and around Nottingham. Take My Hand was shot mostly at a dirty, deserted warehouse with loadsa spiders. Ricky is not a fan of spiders and tends to wimper like a puppy when there are some about! Saying that though … so do I! Wonk almost went through a whole day bashing the drums without anyone telling him that he was playing too loud.

I found it really, really tiring but it was a great experience for us, and a great laugh (as always!), and we thank our good friend Mr Lockwood at PlayPauseClick for shooting the video for us, and taking us to some cool rock n roll locations (like a playground).

The videos are being edited at the moment by Andy and should be available to view/download from here soon! So take care of yourselves and ‘Keep On Rockin’!

“My Mate Cliff”

Author: The Band, August 21, 2009

My Mate Kate have recently made new inroads with some major contacts in the music business, and as a result of this we have been in the recording studio laying down demo tracks for none other than Cliff Richard & The Shadows management team. There is a strong possibility that these tracks will be used on the up and coming WORLD TOUR! So fingers crossed we get the gig and the music we make will be heard all around the world!

Good Times

We’ll keep you updated on all the latest new, so be sure to come back and check the Blogs!

‘My Mate Kate’ do Nursery Rhymes

Author: The Band, September 9, 2009

5 months ago ‘My Mate Kate’ were commissioned by their good friend Mr Ian Watts (Owner of Comfy Towers Studio & All Round Diamond Geeza!) to be a part of an up and coming project of his. It would be to record two tracks for a compilation album release titled “The Nursery Rhyme Collection”.

But this would be no ordinary clichéd nursery rhyme collection, it would be performed by 33 of the UK’s finest musicians, with REAL instruments, in a professional working environment at a very high standard. SAY NO TO PLASTIC MUSIC!

So naturally, we jumped at the chance and within two weeks we had recorded two energetic tracks with trademark ‘My Mate Kate’ features. “The Big Ship Sailed On The Alley Alley Oh” and “What Shall We Do With The Grumpy Pirate”.

The finished product is now readily available around the UK, and can be found on major downloading sites such as iTunes etc. So keep your eyes peeled for this fantastic 2CD, 70 track package.

For more information check out the fully interactive website for pictures, samples of the tracks and you might even learn a thing or two from the music lesson page!
