‘LOVE RAT’

Wonk’s Words: I really do like this song, it has something about it, a catch you don’t hear often. With a tight 2 part harmony line running through, it gives you something to focus on which I like. It’s the most poppy out of the last 3 we recorded, and it’s a good “4 on the floor” track. It could go places! Playability Rating = 7/10

Ricky’s Words: I think this songs really commercial, I like the chord sequence for the verses, along with the drums it really chugs along. In places the top harmony line is a challenge but. . On a good day it’s just right ;-) Playability Rating = 8/10

Jacko’s Words: Now then . . . When this was written, I couldn’t imagine it sounding like it does now. I think it’s a bit good. The song itself is great, but the way it has been arranged/played by all of us is rather special. T’is catchy and I think a lot of people will like the vocal melody and the meaning behind the lyrics. WOOOHOOOO. Playability Rating = 8/10

NOTHING BETTER

Wonk’s Words: This is a great song to play as a drummer, a constant triplet all the way through which really motors the track along. It has a few little quick fills in which I think suit really well and the guitar solo is rather good. . Yeh good times J Playability Rating = 8/10

Ricky’s Words: This songs opening line is a classic idiom, It does exactly what it say’s on the tin. . A simple but interesting, punchy love song that has a strong meaning. The simple but effective power chords throughout the song are strong, and sit well with the root baseline. We collectively decided that this song didn’t really need any other vocals as the main vocal held its own. Playability Rating = 7/10

Jacko’s Words: Ricky first showed me this song via a video message on my phone. I thought it was a quality catchy little song, and thought it had great potential. I like the lyrics and the vocal line is top notch! Again, the way we have arranged a played it has helped make the track what it is J I reckon the chords used are great as well, as they oppose Ricky’s vocal. Playability Rating = 8/10

COME OUR MANOR

Wonk’s Words: Last but not least come to our manor. . Opening with a big double bass pattern to lead straight in to the main riff, which keeps me on my toes (literally!) Before you know you’re in the halftime breakdown section giving real good feel to the track then back in to the bass pattern, by now my calves’ are hurting ;-) The chorus is a short but strong little catch with cool harmony line leading into a busy guitar solo. If you listen the bass is doing some nice little runs as well! Yeh this would probley be my favourite to play out of the 3. Kool Beans Playability Rating = 10/10

Ricky’s Words: Overall this song if rammed with little fills, run’s and interesting musical factors. The harmony parts in the chorus bring the message, even more so across! If music could paint a picture, this would be one very big conglomerate artistic collection, of BUSIENESS! ! ! I think the hours spent on these tracks in the studio, has really payed off! I hope you enjoy listening to these as much as I do J “IT’S NICE” Playability Rating = 9/10

Jacko’s Words: “Come to our manor . . . I’ll hit you with a hammer!” These lyrics by wonk were a bit extreme, so I think it’s a good idea we kept it to just. . “Come to our manor!” I really do like this song actually, the drumming especially and little bass runs give this song some nutz! I like the suspended notes and chords played in the verses as well. I think a lot of people can relate to the lyrics in this song, as with love rat and nothing better. This is GoooD J Playability Rating = 9/10
